We thought a good way to get the community rolling would be to hold a regular event here in Manchester.
Our first event in Manchester is going to be on the 27th April (next Tuesday!) from 6pm until 8pm at MDDA on Portland Street. The line-up includes an introduction to the ODM group, an overview of interesting Open Data projects if you’re relatively new to the area and a discussion about Future Everything and their involvement in this area during 2010.
We’ll also be hearing from our hosts at MDDA about the major fibre network project they’ve been championing and perhaps discuss the possible impact for real-time data gathering opportunities around the project area.
Space is limited, and so we’re asking you to register in advance for at least the first event. You can do that at the special EventBrite registration page – it’s free!

Maybe we should use a wiki rather than Eventbrite, for proper open-ness? /joke.
We will! Right now we just need to get an idea of numbers like this as it was a quick/simple fix, but a wiki is on the way, don’t worry Josh.
